George Wesley Blake, April 27, 1928 - March 11, 2012.
On April 27, 1928, George Wesley Blake was born to Marcus and Carrie Blake. To this union nine children were born; G. W. was the third child.

G. W. grew up in the word of God and accepted Christ at an early age. He left his family and moved to Houston, Texas where he established his roots and started a family that was good for him.

He leaves to cherish his memories: devoted children Sheila, Wanda(Pinky and Jeffery; ten grandchildren Racquelle/Robert, Kelvin(Pooh), Ja'Merick (Pop), Jasmine (Rat), Ro'Zaria (Too Sweet),Chanzs, Tremine, Ethan, Kendra, and Zondra; two great grandchildren Robert, Jr. and Ryan; three sisters Myrtle, Lois and Erma (Bobby); one brother Willie and sister-in-law Ira; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

G. W. is preceded in death by his wife, Versie Mae; son Ray; father and mother Marcus and Carrie; brothers Clarence, Marce, Val, and sister Robbie.
