While working for Levi Strauss, she developed the inside pocket that still is used on Levi's, replacing the old saddle pocket.
Mrs. Crum was born Nov. 13, 1900, in Streetman, Texas. Her maiden name was Demoss.
She and her husband, George, moved to Gresham in the late in 1940s. Mr. Crum died in 1952. She moved to Camp Verde, Ariz., in 1986 and returned to Oregon in 1992.
Surviving are her sons, Girley of Sandy and Albert of Phoenix, Ariz.; 31 grandchildren; and 33 great-grandchildren. Private interment will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery.
