Pioneer Resident of Marinette Succumbs Last Night in Hospital Mrs. Julius Betters, 72, Pioneer resident of Marinette, passes away last night at 11:45 o'clock in the M. and M. hospital. Mrs. Betters had been ill six weeks with a heart ailment. The deceased was born in New York State, and would have been 73 years of age the first of January. Mary Rondeau married Julius Betters, August 6th, 1880. Six years ago she and her husband celebrated their golden wedding anniversary. Mrs. Betters is a daughter of John Rondeau of this city. Besides her husband and father she is survived by the following children: William of Portsmouth, VA.; Mrs. Lillian D'Amoure, Iron Mountain, MI.; Mrs. Warren Russell ,Northport, Wash.; and Charles, George, Mrs. William Webber and Mrs. Levi Kabie, this city. Two brothers, Arthur, Minneapolis, Minn.; and John Rondeau, Duluth, Minn.; one sister Mrs. Lillian Kelly, Duluth Minn.; 32 grandchildren also survive. The remains were taken to the McLain Funeral Home and will be returned to the home of her daughter, Mrs. Webber, 1003 Oakes street, Saturday afternoon. Funeral services will be held Monday morning at 8:30 o'clock from the house and at 9 o'clock at the St. Joseph's church. The Rev. Omer Champagne will officiate.
