Bath Man Marries Portland Girl and Couple
Will Reside in That City

Miss Bessie E. Waltz of Portland and Thomas Kingsbury of Bath were married Saturday afternoon by Rev. Dr. Berry, a Congregational clergyman in the study of his church. The bridal couple were attended by Br. and Mrs. William Spear of Portland. Teh bride was daintly gowned in tan crepe meteor and carried a bouguet of pink Ophelia roses. Her attendant wore gray duvetyne and carried pink roses. Mrs. Kingsbury is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. B. H. Waltz of Waldoboro. She graduated from the Waldoboro High School, and the Maine General hospital in Portland. Teh groom is the youngest son of Joseph Kingsbury of 8 Park street of this city, and for the past year has been employed by the Maine Mudguard Service Station in Portland. Out of town relatives who winessed teh ceremony were, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Cook of Bath and Mr. and Mrs. Harley D. True of Norway. Following the service teh wedding party drove to teh newly furnished apartment, which was in readiness at 541 Cumberland avenue where an informal reception took place before Mr. and MRs. Kingsbury left for a honeymoon trip. Mr. and Mrs. Kingsbury will be at home after Nov. 15.

Bessie E. Patterson, 93, formerly of Leonard Street, died Tuesday at a local nursing home. She was born in Waldoboro, a daughter of Lendon and Maria Dresser Waltz. She graduated from Waldoboro High School and the Maine General Hospital School of Nursing. Mrs. Patterson was a registered nurse at Maine General Hospital and a member of the First Baptist Church of Portland. Her husband, Alzo Patterson, died in 1957. Surviving are two nieces, Cora H. Waltz of Waldoboro and Floss H. Fickett of Lee, N.Y.; a nephew, Clayton Hoak of Waldoboro; and several grandnieces and grandnephews. A funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Hay & Peabody, 749 Congress St. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
