McCoy Edward "Mickey" Creel, Jr. passed away on Sunday March 18, 2012 at Ochsner Medical Center in Baton Rouge. He was 63 a resident of Denham Springs and was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War in Cambodia and the Panama Canal. He was a retired metal lather for 20 years and was a disabled veteran.
Visitation will be held at Seale Funeral Home in Denham Springs on Sunday, March 25, 2012 from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM and again on Monday March 26, 2012 from 8:00 AM until religious services at 9:00 AM in the funeral home chapel conducted by Rev. Keith Bernard. Burial will follow in Port Hudson National Cemetery in Zachary.
Survived by his wife, Dianne Wilson Creel; 1 daughter, Tammie Creel; 1 step-daughter, Jackie Creel Brecheen; 1 son, McCoy Edward Creel, III; 1 step-son, Kenneth Michael "Murphy" Creel, Jr.; 1 sister, Amy Creel Leteff; 2 brothers, Jackson L. and Kenneth Michael Creel; 12 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. Preceded in death by his first wife, Beverly Evangeline Parker Creel; parents, McCoy Edward, Sr. and Minnie Ellen Noble Creel; 1 sister, Barbara Creel "Babs" Compton. Pallbearers will be Murphy Creel, Perry Smith, Shawn Jennings, J.J. Creel, Dale Akeman and Dillon Creel. Honorary pallbearers will be Eric Alford and David Brecheen. Memorial donations may be made to the Disabled Veterans
