McCoy Edward "Mickey" Creel, Jr. passed away on Sunday March 18, 2012 at Ochsner Medical Center in Baton Rouge. He was 63 a resident of Denham Springs and was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War in Cambodia and the Panama Canal. He was a retired metal lather for 20 years and was a disabled veteran.
Visitation will be held at Seale Funeral Home in Denham Springs on Sunday, March 25, 2012 from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM and again on Monday March 26, 2012 from 8:00 AM until religious services at 9:00 AM in the funeral home chapel conducted by Rev. Keith Bernard. Burial will follow in Port Hudson National Cemetery in Zachary.
Survived by his wife, Dianne Wilson Creel; 1 daughter, Tammie Creel; 1 step-daughter, Jackie Creel Brecheen; 1 son, McCoy Edward Creel, III; 1 step-son, Kenneth Michael "Murphy" Creel, Jr.; 1 sister, Amy Creel Leteff; 2 brothers, Jackson L. and Kenneth Michael Creel; 12 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. Preceded in death by his first wife, Beverly Evangeline Parker Creel; parents, McCoy Edward, Sr. and Minnie Ellen Noble Creel; 1 sister, Barbara Creel "Babs" Compton. Pallbearers will be Murphy Creel, Perry Smith, Shawn Jennings, J.J. Creel, Dale Akeman and Dillon Creel. Honorary pallbearers will be Eric Alford and David Brecheen.
