"Brevities - Funeral This Morning - Funeral services for Miss Susan Sloan, a life-long resident of Oil Creek township, and one of the best known and respected ladies of this section, will be conducted at St Titus' church beginning at 9 o'clock this morning. A requiem high mass will be celebrated by Rev Thomas W Cavanaugh, pastor of the church, and interment will follow in the Sloan, or St Stephen's church cemetery, Spring Creek road, where rest the remains of her parents and other dead kindred. The Sloan cemetery was the first burial ground for Catholics in this part of the country, and many of the early Catholic settlers of this section were interred there."
