Carol Bench Bandley, age 69, passed away March 24, 1994 from complications following surgery.
She was born October 10, 1924 at Provo, Utah, a daughter of Rees E. Bench and Georgia Christensen Bench.
She married Louis W. Bandley December 5, 1946 in the Salt Lake Temple.
She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints serving in many capacities.
She served as a temple worker at the Provo Temple for over five years.
At the time of her death she was serving as Stake Relief Society President in the Provo Central Stake.
She had a tremendous love of music and taught piano, voice and organ lessons.
She was active in various civic and musical organizations.
She was given an award for outstanding community service by the Literary Section of the Provo Womens Council.
She touched the lives of countless people through her musical talents and selfless service.
She especially had a great love for her grandchildren, devoting much of her time and talents to their development.
She is survived by her father, Rees E. Bench, Provo; her husband, Louis Bandley, Provo; two brothers: Sterling E. Bench (Donna), Provo; Dr. John R. Bench (Iris), Orem; five children: Karalue B. Anderson (Russell), Carbondale, Colorado; Rees W. Bandley (Lynn), Salt Lake City; Phillip B. Bandley (Kris), Provo; Fred L. Bandley (Kennen), Provo; Kent C. Bandley (Sue), Provo; 17 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Georgia Bench.
Funeral services will be held Monday, March 28, 1994 at 11 a.m. in the Timpanogos Ward Chapel, 700 W. 400 North, Provo.
A viewing will be held Sunday, March 27, 1994 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Berg Mortuary, Provo.
Friends may call one hour prior to services at the chapel.
Interment at Timpanogos Memorial Hills, 1050 N. 400 East, Orem, Utah.
