Phillip Bench Bandley, passed away April 4, 2007, after a courageous battle with brain cancer at the age of 54.

Phil was born February 8, 1953 in Provo, Utah to Louis and Carol Bandley, and was raised in Provo.

He graduated from Provo High School in 1971, attended Utah Technical College and UVSC.

Phil served an LDS Mission in Ireland.

He married Kristine Anderson on October 24, 1975 in the Provo Temple, and was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Phil was employed by US Fuel Company, Geneva Steel and retired from Utah Railway in February 2006.

Phil was a patient, genuine, kind and friendly man. He had many talents and friends, and enjoyed tending and working in the yard.

He loved going on outdoor expeditions, cutting firewood, and 4-wheel drive trips to Moab with his family.

He was known for his unique ability to gather materials, design and craft all kinds of useful and beautiful furniture, machines and tools. He loved working on these projects with his sons and close family.

Phil will be remembered for his willingness and ability to help anyone in need, and for his amazing generosity.

Phil is survived by his wife Kris; sons, Jeremiah, Christian (Elizabeth); father, Louis W. Bandley; sister, Karalue (Russ); and brothers, Rees (Lynn); Fred (Kennen); and Kent (Sue).

He was preceded in death by his mother, Carol.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 10, 2007 at 11:00 am in the Provo Parkway Stake Center, 2801 West 620 North, Provo Utah.

Friends may call at the Provo Berg Mortuary, Monday April 9, 2007 from 6-8 pm and at the Stake Center from 9:30 to 10:45 am.

Interment, Provo City Cemetery.
