Lena Egli married Louis Lampl on Dec. 19, 1889 in McLean County, IL. He passed away in 1899. On Jan. 31, 1904, in Minier, Tazewell County, IL, she married Herman Julius Sawatzki.

Kouts, Fails to Survive
Ten Weeks' Illness.


Mrs. Lena Sawatzki, age 69 years, living just south of Kouts on State Road 49, died Sunday night at 10 o'clock at her home. She had been ill for the last 10 weeks of complications.
She was born on March 17, 1872, a daughter of Rev. John Egli and Lena Egli, and had lived in the Kouts vicinity for the last 25 years, coming from Minier, Ill. She was a member of the Mennonite church.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Edward A. Kosanke, of Kouts, and three sons: John and Louis Lampl, by a former marriage, and Roy Sawatzki, all of Kouts.
Memorial services will be held Wednesday afternoon, Nov. 5, at 2 p.m. at the Kosanke Brothers' funeral home, Rev. Aaron Egli officiating. Burial will be in Graceland cemetery, west of Kouts.
Friends may call at the Kosanke Brothers' funeral home from 7 p.m. Tuesday and up until time of the services.
