George J. Anderson, resident in West Harvey for a period of 66 years, continuously living on the same farm he occupied at the time of his death, passed away Wednesday evening, Jan. 10, 1934.
Heart disease was the cause of death after an illness of but a few days.
Mr. Anderson was born in the town of Winchester, Wis., Sept. 28, 1857, and accompanied his parents to Meeker County ten years later.
He was married Jan. 1, 1889 to Miss Emily Hegg. They resided with his parents until the deaths of the latter, and at that time Mr. Anderson purchased his parental home from the estate.
Mr. Anderson had a pleasing personality and was a kind and loving husband and father. He always took a lively interest in public affairs.
Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon, Jan. 14 from the home at two o'clock and at 2:30 at the Baptist church at Grove City. Rev. Walter Watkin conducted the funeral service. Interment was at the Baptist cemetery in Grove City. The pallbearers were his six eldest sons.
