Robert P. Anderson was born October 16, 1900, at Grove City, Minn., the son of the late George and Emily Anderson. He grew into manhood in the Grove City community. His occupation was carpenteering. He farmed for several years at Glasgow, Montana and Sisseton, South Dakota and returned to this community. For a number of years he was employed with Thulin Bros. of Litchfield.
Mr. Anderson died at the Meeker Memorial hospital on Sunday, November 3, following an illness the past year, suffering a heart attack and pneumonia.
He is survived by three sisters and four bothers, Mrs. Annie Carlson and Orville Anderson of Sisseton, South Dakota, Arthur of Portland, Oregon, Chester of New London, Mrs. Roy Cropp of Paynesville, Harold and Mrs. Grace Pearson, Mrs. Esther Anderson of Sisseton, South Dakota; 35 nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held at Zion Lutheran church, Wednesday, November 6, 2 p.m., with the Rev. James R. Bjorge officiating. Mrs. Garfield Kittelson, organist, accompanied Paul Olson and Mrs. Norman Stordahl, who sang. Pallbearers were Richard Juhl, Norman Olson, George Nelson, Herman Peterson, Leo Stoppleman and Robert Lindell. Interment was in the First Baptist cemetery at Grove City.
