Mrs. Betty Sue Temple, 68, died Monday morning (March 12, 2012) at her residence in Folkston following an extended illness.

She was a native and life-long resident of Waycross until making her home in Folkston for the past three years. She was the daughter of the late James Strickland and Gladys Waldron Strickland.

She was a member of Emerson Park Baptist Church. Her favorite hobby was playing Bingo.

Survivors include her husband of forty-nine years, James Patrick Temple, Sr of Folkston; four daughters, Tammy Dillender (husband Sam) of Elko, NV, Annette Flood (husband Dondi) of Odum, Teresa Carr (husband Allen) of Gresham, OR, and Pam Scobee (husband Pete) of Blackshear, GA; two sons, David Strickland (wife Nikki) of Folkston, GA and Jimmy Temple, Jr (wife Nancy) of Waycross, GA; fourteen grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; five sisters, Iva Jean Ross (husband Billy Gene) of Waresboro, Beverly Ray Burtner of Waycross, Carolyn Kay Martin (husband Denis) of Naples, FL, Gay McCoy (husband Sonny) of Turkey Creek, KY, and Janice Holter of Jacksonville, FL; two brothers, Buddy Strickland (wife Frances) of Waresboro and Sammie Strickland (wife Darlene) of Blackshear, and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.

A memorial service will be held at 5:00 PM Wednesday (March 14, 2012)at Music Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends from 4:00 until 5:00 PM Wednesday at Music Funeral Home.
