A native of Duffield, VA; son of the late Albert Lee Hall (1884–1940) and Sallie Fannon Queen (1893–1979); husband of Myrl Agnes Nance Enlow (1924–2012).
A World War II Army veteran and retired from the Union County Prison Farm as a guard.
Other survivors include his sisters, Pearl Marie Queen Deputy Busbee (1933–2015) and Betty Rhodes; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Also predeceased by daughters, Hazel Ruth Hall West (1940–1979) and Linda Hall Simons (1943–1991); and siblings, Garnett Earven Hall, Sr. (1917–1977), Juanita Barnett Knox (1924–1999), and Coy Lee Hall (1927–1990).
Services were held at 2:00 pm, Thursday, September 10, 1992, at the S.R. Holcombe Funeral Chapel by Rev. Jerry Lawson; burial in the Rosemont Cemetery.
