Alberta Lee Massey Beggs, 99 of Smithland passed away Monday, July 4,2011

She was a retired school teacher with Paducah City schools, a member of the Smithlands Womens Club, and a life long member of Smithland United Methodist Church. She was a graduate of Murry State University with a Bachelor of Science degree, a Masters Degree in Science, and a Rank One Certification.

surviving are her daughter Diane Boswell O'Brien of Paducah, her son James David Boswell of Smithland; two grandchildren. James O'Brien and Lee O'Brien both of Smithland; one niece, Mary Ellen Gaston Dobbins of Fl.

She was preceded by her husband,Charles Weldon Beggs; her parents James Edger and Emma Massey; one sister, Edith Massey Smith; one brother in law Russell Smith; two half sisters, Mary Ellen Massey Mahan and Estelle Massey Gatson; two half brothers Eddie Massey and Vernon Massey; and several nieces and nephews.

Services were at the Smithland United Methodist Church
