BENNETT

Lester Alva Bennett, 76, died Saturday March 26 in a Hinton hospital after a long illness.

Born Dec. 29, 1907, in Raleigh County, he was a son of the late Meredith P. and Hattie Francis Plumley Bennett.

Mr. Bennett was a member of the Brooks Baptist Church at Hinton.

Survivors include his wife, Margaret Mae Bennett; five sons, James Robert Bennett, Meredith Bennett, Everette Bennett, Michael Bennett and William Bennett, all of Hinton; two daughters, Lovotta Graham and Drema Martin, both of Hinton; a brother, Issac Bennett of Hinton, and six sisters, Nerma Graham, Verna Adkins, Hattie Sears, Zona Graham, Ada Bragg and Dona Richmond, all of Hinton; 26 grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.

Services were held Tuesday March 29 at 1 p. m. in the E. M. Meadows Funeral Home chapel at Hinton with the Revs. Ray Martin and Ray Garten officiating. Burial followed in the Bennett Cemetery on Tug Creek Mountain in Hinton.
