Thomas January Taylor was the third of seven children born to Gideon Christian Taylor and Pattie Haden Taylor. He was also the first boy born of the siblings. The family was in Denton Co.,Tx. when he was born. They later moved to a farm near Dresden and close to his Mother's parents: Col. James Haden and wife, Priscilla January Haden. He was 13 yo when his father was killed. He stayed with his mother until her death in 1929. In the 1910 Census he is a teacher in the public schools. He moved to Arlington, Tx where he worked. He was a Mason.
