Dathan Lambeth - SPRINGFIELD - Dathan Lambeth, 58, passed peacefully into the presence of his Lord on June 16, 2008 at Memorial Health. The Mobile, Alabama native was a member of Rincon Church of God where he had taught the Bridge Builders class for several years and served on the church council. He had retired from the US Army after 23 years, having served in the Vietnam War and during the Gulf War. He is survived by a loving family, including his wife, Monika, of 33 years; sons, Andrew Lambeth (Bonnie) and Markus Lambeth (Catherine); grandchildren, Christian, Claudia, Charlotte, and Benjamin Lambeth, all of Effingham County; three sisters, Linda Merritt (Hilton), Janie Middleton (Billy), Libby Walker, two brothers, Johnny Lambeth (Marie), Robert Lambeth ( Judy), all of Mississippi, and his dog Cisco. Mr. Lambeth enjoyed fishing, spending time with his family, and serving God in any way he could. He was an inspiration to all during his lengthy illness
