Born on July 15, 1921, she was a daughter of the late Benjamin Franklin and Lillie Mae Bunton Waldrop of Simpsonville, SC. Mrs. Barbery was a member of the Church of the Epiphany. She was the beloved owner and operator of The Hub Restaurant for many years.
Surviving are two sons, Barney Barbery and wife, Carolyn W. Barbery of Clinton, SC, and Brent Barbery of Laurens, SC; a sister, Kathleen Brownlee of Laurens, SC; a brother, Dewitt Waldrop of El Paso, TX; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; and a special niece, Dr. Joanne Brownlee.
She was predeceased by a son, Dennis Barbery; five brothers, Jack Waldrop, B.G. Waldrop, George Waldrop, Lewis Waldrop, and William (Buck) Waldrop.
