Bio
Since retiring in 2000 I have undertaken the task of locating graves of as many descendants as possible.
(1) Of my mother's oldest ancestor, Jonathan Whilden, who entered Charleston 1695.
Whilden, although, essentially an unknown name now, played a historical part in the Civil War from relaying the order to fire the 1st shot of the war to leading the defense at The Bloody Angle-Spottsylvania Courthouse.
(2) Of my fathers oldest ancestor, Hamilton Murdoch 89810888, who entered Charleston 1768 with his family from Killyleagh, County Down, Northern Ireland. Many of these migrated west to Georgia, Alabama, & Texas.
As indicated I retired in 2000, live in SC, have a wonderful wife of 52 years, 2 children and 2 grandchildren that like all grands I love to be obnoxious about.
Will gladly take pictures for any looking in this area.
