Helen L. Huffman ,71, of Clarion,formerly of Lickingville,died July 10,1994 in Clarion Hospital. Mrs Huffman was born May 30,1923 in Timblin, the daughter of Osmer and Twila (Dinger) Brocious. She was married February 29,1944 to Merle J. Huffman,who preceded her in death on March 7,1978. A homemaker and long-time resident of Lickingville,she had moved to Liberty Towers in Clarion in 1985. Surviving relatives include one son ,Dennis G. Huffman of Laurel ,Md.; three daughters ;Mrs Keith (Patty) McCloskey of Tylersburg,Mrs Gerald (Catherine) Schrecengost of Aliquippa, and Mrs Donald (Lois) Sayre of Southington,Ohio; 12 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; three brothers; Eugene Brocious of Brookfield, Ohio, Clifford E. Brocious of Johnstown; and seven sisters ;Alda Shick of Timblin, Dorthy Manley of New Bethlehem,Velma Huber of Millenton, Ruby Smith of Erie ,Lois Stello of Coraopolis, Marie Wolfgang of Erie,and Norma "Peggy" Yohe of Virginia. In addition to her husband,she was preceded by a granddaughter ,Diane Schrecengost,and her parents. Funeral services were held July 13 in Fryburg..Interment was in Lickingville Cemetery. The family has suggested memorials may be made to the Clarion-Forest Visting Nurses Association or a charity of the donor's choice.
