Age 78, passed away Saturday March 3, 2012 at Arbor Hospice in Ann Arbor. She was born August 5, 1933 in Quinnesec, MI the daughter of Gordon and Selma (Kellstrom) Swanson, who moved from the Upper Peninsula to Saline, MI in the 1940's. She graduated from Saline High School and Eastern Michigan University. On September 2, 1955, she married Wilford Ing of Milan, who preceded her in death. Mrs. Ing worked for a number of years as a substitute teacher and later in the field of medical records at the former Mercywood Hospital in Ann Arbor. After retirement, she enjoyed spending time with her family, was an avid reader, and later spent many evenings playing bingo with her friends. She was a member of the Peoples Presbyterian Church in Milan. She also served on the board of the Milan Public Library.

She is survived by her two sons; Gordon and Eric (Cheryl) Ing, both of Milan; two granddaughters, Audrey Ing and Jennifer (Frank) Vasquez, a great grandson Ryan and great granddaughter Allison. A private funeral service will be held on Friday March 9, 2012. Private burial will be held at Marble Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Arbor Hospice. Envelopes will be available at Ochalek-Stark Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 3-7pm on Thursday, March 8, 2012. www.ochalekstark.com
