A. R. Alford, 82, of 843 Eubanks, died Saturday at his home. He had been ill for several months. Services are to be Monday at 1 pm in the Street & Draper Funeral Chapel with interment in Rose Hill Burial Park.
Born in Hico, TX, Alford was in the mercantile business at Tuttle from 1905 until 1910, and was connected with the General Foods Corporation for many years after moving to Oklahoma City. He retired several years ago. Alford belonged to the Olivet Baptist Church.
Surviving are a son, G. B. Alford, 5400 N. Walker; two daughters, Naomi, of the home; and Mrs R. N. Fullerton, 1111 Cumberland Drive; three sisters, Mrs E. A. Nance and Mrs W. A. Cox, both of Dallas; and Mrs J. F. Uhl, Austin, TX; and a brother, Alsey Alford, Loving, NM.
