Carl H. Schneider, 95
Service will be Thursday, October 31, at First Lutheran Church for Carl H. Schneider, 95, of Blair, who died October 28, 1991. Burial will be in the Blair Cemetery.
Carl H. Schneider was born October 2, 1896 in Washington County to Claus P.C. Schneider, Sr. and Christina Mohr.
He attended Wranch School. He was baptized and confirmed at St. John's Lutheran Church in Bennington.
He married Catherine (Tena) Paasch March 2, 1921.
He was a farmer in his early years and worked for the Alfalfa mill in Arlington. He also drove milk truck and worked for Marshall Nursery for many years.
He lived in Kennard for 47 years before moving to Blair in March, 1990. He had been a resident of Good Shepherd Home since June 13, 1991.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, three sisters, a son-in-law and one grandson.
Note: The National Archives show that at 21 years of age, Carl was a tall, black-haired, brown-eyed man of medium build. Although he did register for the WWI draft, he told the 1930 US Census taker that he was not a veteran.
