Schneider burial Thursday

Services for Paul R. Schneider, 66, of 1468 Butler Street in Blair, will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, May 17, at First United Methodist Church. Dr. Gordon L. Patterson will officiate. Organist will be Bette Kirk. Burial will follow at the German Cemetery in Bennington.

Schneider, a former farmer and employee of the Nebraska State Highway Department and Blair Manufacturing, died Monday, May 14, at Methodist Hospital in Omaha.

Schneider was born Sept. 17, 1917 in Blair, Nebraska. He married Evelyn Maxine Davis on Feb. 20, 1946 in Blair. She survives with children Karen (Mrs. John Andreasen) of Blair, Camilla Sessions of Edgerton, Missouri, Ronald R. Schneider of Blair, and 10 grandchildren.

Brothers Claus and Carl Schneider of Kennard also survive. Paul was preceded in death by three sisters.

Schneider, a veteran of World War II from 1941 to 1945, was the son of Claus P.C. and Christine (Mohr) Schneider. He was a member of Blair VFW Post 1251 and the Eagles Club.

Active pallbearers for the services are Fred Gilliland, Art and George Jipp, Arlen and Ray Schneider, and Marvin Wrich. Honorary pallbearers are John Brown, Ray Rosenbaum, Frank Rybin, Ray Fisher, Earl Thompson, and Eggert Wulf.
