Mrs. Plunkett Dies At 74; Rites Monday
Mrs. Hester Plunkett, 74, of 604 N. Monroe St., died at 3:20 p. m. Saturday at St. Francis Hospital. She had been a patient there since April 2.
Born at Chillicothe Aug 20, 1882, she was a daughter of Michael and Elizabeth Wright Boylan. She was married to James Plunkett at Chillicothe 59 years ago and he died here in 1931. Mrs. Plunkett was a member of St. Mary's Cathedral.
Surviving are one son LaVerne Plunkett of Princeville; two brothers, Mathew Boylan of Los Angeles, Calif., and William Boylan of Peoria and two sisters, Miss Grace Boylan and Miss Blanche Boylan, both of Peoria. One sister preceded her in death.
Funeral services will he held at 9:30 a. m. Monday at the Wright & Salmon Mortuary and at 10 at St. Mary's Cathedral. Msgr. Murray V. Haas will officiate. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery.
Friends may call at the mortuary after 2 p. m. today. The rosary will be recited there at 8 p. m.
