Funeral Rites for Mrs. G. Oscar Emmons

Jackson, March 31,--Funeral service for Mrs. G. Oscar Emmons of Perryville were held Thursday afternoon with burial in Memorial Park Cemetery near Cape Girardeau. Mrs. Emmons died late Tuesday afternoon at Missouri Baptist Hospital in St. Louis following an operation Monday morning. She was 33 years old. The last rites were held at the Baptist Church in Perryville, with Rev. S. D. Aubuchon of Cape Girardeau and Rev. Wade L. Cochran, pastor of the Baptist Church, conducting the service.
Mrs. Emmons was born July 30, 1910, at Patton, and in early womanhood affiliated with the Antioch Christian Church at Cardwell. Later she became a member of the Baptist Church and at the time of her death was clerk and librarian and a Sunday School teacher. She was also serving as a group leader in the Cape Girardeau Associational Training Union.
Mrs. Emmons was married to G. Oscar Emmons, son of Mr. and Mrs. R. K. Emmons of Perryville on June 11, 1933. She is survived by her husband, her parents, Mrs. and Mrs. M. N. Killian of Vanduser; three brothers, Carl Killian of Jackson, Paul Killian of Paragould, Ark., and Hubert Killian of Vanduser; three sisters, Mrs. Bern Abernathy of Perryville, Miss Doshie Killian of Memphis, Tenn., and Mrs. Carl Penzel of Jackson and her maternal grandmother, Mrs. B. F. Hahn of Patton.
