CALLED BY DEATH
Mrs. Augusta Bubolz died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Otto Mahnke, where she had gone about two weeks ago for a short visit. She was the wife of Frederick Buboltz, a civil war veteran member of 17th Regiment, Company K, who preceded her
to the great beyond, five years ago, leaving her to the tender care of five sons and five daughters, all of whom are living and were present at the funeral of a loving mother. Mrs. Bubolz, since the death of her husband, resided with her son, Fred, on the old home farm, having gone to the Mahnke home to assist her daughter
in the care of her children who were ill. She herself was stricken with pneumonia and died after about a weeks' illness. The deceased was born in Germany in 1843 and was about 71 years of age at the time of her death. The sons who are left to mourn her death are Robert, Henry, Fred, William and Adolph; also five daughters, Mrs. Louis Grimm, Mrs. Louis Kessing, Mrs. John Wordell, Mrs. August Rasckke and Mrs. Otto Mahnke, who will sadly miss her gentle loving care.
To know her was to love her and friends as well as relatives feel that in her death, they have lost a staunch friend and comforter. The funeral took place Monday at 1:30 from the home of her son, Fred and at 2 o'clock at the Lutheran Church, Rev. Koch
officiating. The floral tributes were numerous and beautiful, testifying to the esteem which the deceased lady held in the hearts of her friends and relatives. The funeral was one of the largest ever held in the village, the seating capacity of the
church being taxed to provide accommodation for the large number of friends present.
Among those present from out of town were: Messrs and Mesdames Chas. Esch and Chas. Hacker; Messrs. Fred Schuette, Louis and Ed Schmitz, Wm. Brandt, Walter Pellet, Francis Taugher and Jos. Williams, Mesdames A. Schulze, G. Mueller, J. Staudt, Hy.
Groth,, and Misses Pauline Mueller and Bertha Schulze of Manitowoc; Mr. and Mrs. Dan Bubolz of Marshfield, Mrs. Wachs and Mr. and Mrs. Carl Bergmann of Milwaukee, Mrs. Bornefeldt of Sheboygan, Leo Schwan of Appleton, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Luecker,
Mrs. Wm. Seehafer, Mrs. Heimke, Mrs. Wordell, Mrs. Clara Mueller and children, Edgar and Frieda of Brillion.
Six of her grandsons were pallbearers while fourteen granddaughters were flower bearers. Besides her children, four sisters, Mrs. Bornefeldt, Mrs. Boettcher, Mrs. F. Mueller and one other residing in Minneapolis and brother, Rudolph Mueller are
left to mourn her death.
