JOHN STEWART ISENBERG Of 503 Baynton avenue, South Lakemont, died at 5:40 o'clock yesterday afternoon at Mercy hospital where he was admitted on Monday evening. He was born June 27, 1878, in Canoe valley, the son of Joseph and Christina (Stewart) Isenberg. He was a retired machinist of the Juniata E & M shop and was a member of the Retired Men's association. Mr. Isenberg was a member of the First Presbyterian church, Hollidaysburg, where he served as an elder and teacher. For some years he served as superintendent of the Lakemont Methodist church. He was chaplain and a charter member of the Lakemont Fire company, and a director on the Logan township school board for several terms. Surviving are his wife, Nannie Ellen (Watters) Isenberg, the following children: Joseph M. of Altoona, Mrs. Christina Graham of South Lakemont, J. Rosswell of Hollidaysburg and Bertram M., of Washington; a sister, Mrs. Mary Hileman of Lakemont Terrace; a brother William of Juniata, nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild. A son, James, preceded him in death. Friends will be received at the Creamer & Plank funeral home, Hollidaysburg, from 7 o'clock this evening until noon Saturday and thereafter at the First Presbyterian church.
