James R. Calvert
James R. "Pap" Calvert of Irving died Oct. 4. He was 70. Born in Terrell Aug. 11, 1927, Mr. Calvert was a Teamster for more than 25 years. He was a member of MacArthur Boulevard Baptist Church and had lived in Irving since 1957. Mr. Calvert is survived by his wife of 51 years, Shirley Calvert; sons and daughters-in-law James Jr. and Sue Calvert of Colleyville, Paul and Jan Calvert of Irving; daughters and sons-in-law Janis and John Eubanks of Colleyville, Mary and Stephen Humphrey of Grapevine; brother and sister-in-law Clarence and Nina Calvert of High Rolls, N.M.; sister Jean Teutsch of Memphis, Tenn.; mother-in-law Bertha Canipe of Irving; 14 grandchildren; a great grandchild; several nieces and nephews and many friends. Services were held Oct. 7 at MacArthur Boulevard Baptist Church. Interment at Oak Grove Memorial Gardens. The family requests memorials be made to the American Cancer Society or MacArthur Boulevard Baptist Church Playground Fund. Arrangements by Donnelly's Colonial Funeral Home.
