Mrs Rose C Straub 90, died Sunday at a hospital in Kansas City.
Born in Wathena, she was a longtime resident of this community, moving to the Kansas City area in 1943, where she made her home with her daughter, Mrs Beulah Slagel of Mission, KS. The widow of Willam Straub, who was 3rd District Doniphan county Commissioner at the time of his death, Mrs Straub completed his term of office. Besides her daughter, Mrs Straub is survived by a son, Jack Straub of Kansas City and three grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon (today) at the Harman chapel in Wathena with the Rev Howard Campbell officiating. Burial was in Bellemont Cemetery. pallbearers were Edward Juhl, Henry Meng, Edward Laipple, Jake Liechti, John Hartman and Dr L L Meng."
