Actress. She was an Oscar-winning actress, receiving the award for her 1949 supporting role in "All the Kings Men." She also received two Golden Globe awards for the same role. She had a long career in films and on television, spanning the 1940s thru 1990s. On a side note, she was the voice of the demon that came out of Linda Blair in "The Exorcist."
