Marie Caroline McCambridge, a former Kankakee resident, died at 1 a.m. Wednesday in San Diego, California, following a lengthy illness.
Mrs. McCambridge was born in Kinsman to the late James and Estella Mahaffey. She married John McCambridge who died in 1966. Services will be held in San Diego and the body will be returned to Kankakee for burial in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
Surviving are one daughter: Mercedes McCambridge of Eddington, Pennsylvania; two sons: John and Robert, both of San Diego, California; one grandson: Dr. John Markle of Dallas, Texas; two sisters: Rosella Trainor of Blackstone and Mrs. Maurice Coyne of Homewood.
Her husband and three sisters preceded her in death.
