Mr. Harney was a former employee of the Glasco Corp. and worked at a service station when he retired in 1962.
He is survived by five sons, James William and Frederick Harney, both of Muncie, Clifford, with the U.S. Air Force in Florida, Selby J., with the Air Force in Texas, and Kenneth, Wichita Falls, Tex.; five daughters, Mrs. Thelma Belt, Mrs. Phyllis Aker and Mrs. Jean Hurst, all of Muncie, Mrs. Maxine Burke, Sharpesville, and Mrs. Doris Martin, Alexandria; 34 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
