I served in the United States Army from 1950-1952. Serving one year in the 24th Infantry Division, 11th Field Artillery Battalion, in Korea in 1951. They were Eugene Begay, from Arizona, Daniel Wayne, from Arizona, Eugene Jackson, from Arizona, Chok Chai Jansrikesorn, from Thailand, Edu Prieto, from Paraguay, and Yoko Motoki, from Japan. I was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints serving three missions, one on the Northern Cheyenne reservation in Montana, another in the Republic of Kiribati, South Pacific, (Tarawa), one in the church offices in Salt Lake City, Utah.
I also, loved teaching genealogy. I died at 1400 East, Pleasant Grove on Wednesday, November 21, 2001 and was buried in the Pleasant Grove City Cemetery on Saturday, November 24, 2001. Have a good life, I did and I thank my Father in Heaven, David, Dora, and JoAnn and our family for that good life. John P. Gourley The above obituary was written personally by John Paul Gourley.
