She lived in Pleasant Grove, Utah until fifteen years old on a farm nestled beneath the 'G' mountain. She moved to Salt Lake City, and finished high school at East High. At BYU, she was a student in Business Education.

She worked at the Utah State Land Office at the State Capitol Building as a secretary and assistant accountant. After raising her family, she obtained employment with Alta Industries in customer service. She helped people settle their claims.

She married Ben George Bartholomew on July 6, 1945 in the Manti Temple. This union was blessed with four children: Larry (Karen), Susan (Alton), Don (Lela), and Nancy Larberg. Twenty-eight grandchildren and sixty-two great-grandchildren also survive her. Six years after Ben died, she was blest to meet and marry J. Reid Burnett, Sr. on July 8, 1994. Reid has been an ideal blessing to her life and her family. They were married nineteen wonderful years. He and his family have loved and cared for mother for many years. We love the Burnett family and are grateful for all their kindnesses.
