Mr. Brantley Chester, 84, was born in Statesboro, Georgia to the late Gordon and Lila Chester. He lived in Claxton, GA for 19 years where he was co-owner of Claxton Truck and Tractor Company and a member of the First Baptist Church of Claxton. He and his wife moved to Albany, GA in 1972 where he was a heavy equipment sales person, retiring from Jesco of Albany in 1989. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Albany.
Surviving are his wife of 63 years, Martha Kate Howard Chester; a daughter, Jan Lane, and a son, Robert and Chester; five grandchildren: Kimberly Jones, Brant Lane, Trent Lane, Alyson Chester, and Wesley Chester; seven great grandchildren, brother, Roy Chester and several nieces and nephews.
Mr. Chester was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Waldo and Austin Chester.
