The 1870 census, Virginia City, Storey county, Nevada, shows Annie V. Wolff, 29, born New York, with Theo. Wolff, 34, born Germany, merchant tailor.

The 1871 city directory has Theodore in Virginia City, a merchant tailor at 13 North C street; residence North B street.

On 29 January 1879, Theodore remarried to Nettie J. Davis.

There are no further Nevada records for Theodore, nor any record of their marriage showing Annie's maiden name.

Theodore then turns up again in Walla Walla, Washington, when he married again in 1884 and is censused in 1900 and 1910. He died there in 1913. The link to Virginia City is the death certificate of his daughter, May Crosskill (50194236), who gives her place of birth as Virginia City, Nevada. Her second marriage record (as May Pfaffle) gives her mother's name as "Anna L." Her memorial is confusing because the birth date on it (1879) makes it appear that she was born after her mother's death. However, earlier records, such as her 1893 marriage record and the 1900 census show her YOB to be 1875.
