Wife of Dallas Watson Stockton (Marr. Oct. 9, 1919 at Mt. Vernon, MO. He died Feb. 16, 1955.)
Quincy Ann Whittenburg was born on a farm near Stinson, Missouri, in Lawrence County. She attended school there, then continued to live on the farm helping her parents until her marriage to Dallas Stockton in 1919. Dallas Stockton was born in Lawrence County, Missouri, near Miller. He served in the Army during World War I, then in the early 1920's he began working for the Frisco Railroad Company as a section foreman on the northern division, a position he held until he retired two months prior to his death. He was a member of the American Legion and VFW. The Stocktons first moved to Joplin, Missouri, in Jasper County, in 1957. Then for the next few years they lived in and around the Joplin/Carthage areas. On February 16, 1955 they moved to Murphy Street in Joplin and that night Dallas suffered his fatal heart attack. Quincy continued to live in Joplin until her death 10 years later. Quincy and Dallas had four children; Gertrude Irene married Leslie Calvin Kolb. They live in Louisiana and have a son. Leslie has two daughters from a previous marriage. Mary Loulisa married Lloyd Wesley Hunt and has four children. They were divorced and she is presently married to James Howard Brand (died) They live in the southwest Missouri area. Robert William married Ruth Inge Trippe. They live in Colorado and have three children. Georgia Fay married Thomas Wayne Stephens. Not sure if Thomas died. They have two children.
