Richard Dale Bowman Sr., age 66, of Chambersburg, Pa. died Saturday, March 6, 2004, at Chambersburg Hospital. Mr. Bowman was born in Letterkenny Township on June 10, 1937. He was the son of the late Joseph Bowman and the late Rachel (Holden) Bowman. He was the wife of Gladys Garland Bowman of Chambersburg. Mr. Bowman was employed by Sprint as a data technician and was of the Protestant faith. He was also an avid hunter and outdoorsman, an avid NASCAR fan and a member of the NRA. He is also survived by three sons, Richard D. (Margaret) Bowman Jr. of Shippensburg; Tom Bowman of Chambersburg; and Joe (Patricia) Bowman of Fayetteville; two sisters, Mary Black of Graham, Wash., and Janet Ramsey of Chambersburg; four brothers, Kenneth Bowman of Chambersburg; Wayne Bowman of Chambersburg; Robert Bowman of Chambersburg; and Charles Bowman of Chambersburg; and five grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Joseph Bowman Jr. and Glen Bowman, and two sisters, Frances Bowman and Helen Lind.
