Helen E. Lind, 78, of Evergreen Road, Shermans Dale, died Monday, Feb. 7, 2000 in Harrisburg Hospital.
She was born Nov. 3, 1921 in Chambersburg to the late Joseph and Rachael (Holden) Bowman.
She retired from the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation; was co-owner of Lind's Christmas Tree Farm; and a member of Shermans Dale Fire Company and its auxiliary and Perry Eastern Star Lodge 451.
She was the widow of Harry W. Lind.
Surviving are a daughter, Jean Shatto of Shermans Dale; five brothers, Kenneth, Wayne, Dale, Charles and Robert Bowman, all of Chambersburg; two sisters, Janet Ramsey of Chambersburg and Mary Black of Graham, Wash.; three grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Services were held Feb. 11 in Boyer Funeral Home, New Bloomfield, with the Rev. R. Bruce Woolever officiating. Burial was in Westminster Memorial Gardens, Carlisle.
