Robert J. Bowman Robert Jacob Bowman, 87, of Fayetteville, PA, died Sunday, January 11, 2015, at his home.

Born November 28, 1927, in Letterkenny Township, he was a son of the late Joseph N. and Rachel Holden Bowman.

Mr. Bowman had been employed by Guerdon Industries, Michaels Industries, and most recently by Grove Brothers Lumber, retiring in 1993.

He enjoyed cats, woodworking, country music, and working outside in the yard.

His wife, Grace P. Flory Bowman, whom he married in 1949, preceded him in death on July 11, 2003.

He is survived by five children, Linda K. Goshorn (Carl) of Chambersburg, Donald E. Bowman (Katherine) of Deltona, FL, Robert L. Bowman (Ellen) of Fayetteville, Ricky Bowman (Susan) of Waynesboro, and Carol A. Cornell of Mont Alto; eight grandchildren, Brian Goshorn of Chambersburg, Christopher Bowman (Pamela) of Deltona, FL, Andrew Bowman of Deltona, FL, Dustin Bowman (Jennifer) of Fayetteville, Matthew Bowman (Stephanie) of Greencastle, PA, Rebecca Shankar (Vivek) of Oakland, CA, Kevin Bowman (Megan) of Virginia, and Michelle Cornell of Mont Alto; two great grandsons; three great granddaughters; one sister; and two brothers. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by three sisters and four brothers.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, January 15, 2015, in the Chapel of Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg, PA with Rev. Paul B. Baker officiating.

Interment will follow at Parklawns Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
