Cynthia Franklin was the daughter of John Franklin, Jr. and Mary "Polly" Erwin," and the sister of Wesley Franklin who is also buried here at Olmstead Cemetery [Garden City Cemetery.] Cynthia married Thomas Winkler, March 1816 in Burke Co., NC. She was listed on census in Bartholomew Co., 1850 and 1860, not found after that. Her marker is badly damaged, and much of it is missing altogether (not just buried--missing.) Only fragment with "Cynthia, Wife of Thomas" remains.
