He used the name H. Samuel Franklin and went by Samuel or "Sam". Grandpa Franklin worked in the woolen industry as his family did in England. Grandma and Grandpa Franklin lost a son, Hayneal Franklin, who was born in 1879 and died in 1885 per Franklin Family Bible Records.
Anna Elizabeth Blankenship Franklin is buried in Greenwood Cemetery, Waco, McLennan County, Texas. She died on the Whitfield homestead in Erath Community near China Spring in the home of my Grandmother, Zola V Whitfield Yankie. Also with her at the time was her daughter, Martha Jane Franklin Whitfield, my Great Grandmother.
