Malinda Jane Franklin married first, Samuel E. Rosamond and second, Mr. Bass, both of Attala County, Mississippi. She moved with Mr. Bass to Texas after their marriage in Mississippi. Malinda is the sister of my GG Grandfather Hugh Samuel Franklin, affectionately called "Malindy". Their parents are Thomas D. Franklin and Mary Jane Smith Franklin, originally of Abbeville, South Carolina. (Information provided by GG Niece of Malinda, Nancy Yankie.)
