On 27 Oct 1919, he married Susan "Sudie" Mae Bradshaw, daughter of Newton Alexander Bradshaw and Mary Margaret Elizabeth Hudson, both of Mississippi. Oscar and Sudie were the parents of seven children: Lessie Lee (1920-2000), m. Walter L. Truhett; Bernice (1924-2008)(Memorial #48697517), m. Jesse Clyde White; Henry Newton Neese (1927-2014), m. Christeen Mizell; Vivian "Bill" Lee (1929-2007)(Memorial #38761746), m. Katherine Bethany; Randolph (1932-1995), m. Mary Cochrain; Mary Nell (1936 - ), m. Charles T. Brinson; and Jack Lamar (1941-2012)(Memorial #84438568), m. Patricia Ann Nixon. Oscar died in Union, Neshoba county, Mississippi, and is buried next to his wife in the Linwood cemetery in Neshoba county, Mississippi.
