Sweeden. He died at his home in Scandia, Kansas, Thursday afternoon, Feb. 9, 1905,
at the age of 74 years 7 months and 3 days.
He came to America in 1868, lived in Chicago for one year and came to Scandia in 1869
and has lived with his family on his farm 2 1/2 miles south of Scandia until about
2 years ago when they moved to town.
He was married to Maria Olson Oct. 8, 1859. To this union 8 children were born
all of whom were, present at their father's death.
Mr. Nystrom had a very lively disposition, a loving husband and father and a good
neighbor and friend. He leaves his wife, and eight children, five sons and three
daughters, 22 grand children and 3 half brothers, and a large circle
of friends to morn his departure.
Burial in the Lutheran Cemetery.
