Russell S. Callahan, 70, a resident of Cleveland passed away Saturday, Jan. 17, 2009, at his home.

He was of the Baptist faith, and a member of the Boilermakers No. 656 of Chattanooga where he worked at Combustion for many years. He enjoyed boating and motorcycle riding.

Survivors include his wife, Martha Black Callahan of Cleveland; son; Tim Callahan of Decatur; daughter, Darlene Callahan of Cleveland; grandchildren: April Long, of Cleveland, Sean Callahan and Cody Callahan, both of Decatur; great-grandchildren: River Long and Vallie Long; and several nieces and nephews.

A Remembrance of Life service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 20, 2009, at the Wildwood Chapel of Jim Rush Funeral Home with the Rev. Gary Farris officiating.

Interment will be in Lebanon Baptist Church Cemetery. Terry Black, Rick Morrow, Richard Callahan, Mike Callahan, Brian Bledson, Rodney Carroll, Stacey Teasley, Vincent Wallace will serve as pallbearers
