Services for Alice Irene Adair, age 105, of Caldwell, formerly of Emmett, who died on July 24, 2001 at a Caldwell care center were Tuesday in Emmett. Burial followed at the Emmett Cemetery. Alice was born on Nov 27, 1895 in Alliance, Neb., one of seven children to Susan and Amos Ewer. The family later moved to Canon City, Colorado where she married her husband Wilbur O. Adair in 1922. Prior to moving to Idaho the couple resided in Oregon. In 1928 they settled in Emmett on a small farm where they raised five sons, Glen, Ernest, Evertt, Gordon and Eldon. Wilbur passed away in 1968. Alice continued to reside in Emmett until 1987 when she moved to Caldwell to be closer to family. Alice's greatest joy was her family and her church. Her parents, her husband, a son, Ernest, and her six sisters preceded her in death. She is survived by her sons, Glen of Seattle, WA, Everett of Anchorage, AK, Gordon of Caldwell, ID and Eldon of Maui, HI., 20 grandchildren, 39 great grandchildren and 10 great great grandchildren.
