She married David Adams 17 April 1851 in England and they became the parents of 10 known children: David Edward, William Orson, George Mason, Fannie Marie, Louisa Elizabeth, Ernest Thetford, Albert John, Emily Catherine, Rose and Sarah Amelia. Maria died at the age of 87.
