Daughter of John Newton and Susan Lough Ware. She married William E Collins on Jan 19, 1909.

Mrs. Verna Collins,74 of Hacker Valley, Webster County, died at her home Saturday, December 19, 1964.

She was born November 8, 1890, in Webster County, the daughter of Jack Ware and Susan Lough Ware.

Surviving are four sons, Orvil Collins of Diana, William E. Collins Jr. of Ellicottville, N.Y., Alton Collins of Curtin, and Huling Collings of Hacker Valley; six daughters, Mrs. Opal Vance of Lorain, Ohio, Mrs. Avis Snyder of York, PA., Mrs. Retha Brown of Hookstown, PA., Mrs. Letha Eubank of Baltimore, MD., Mrs. Macil Brown of Maidsville, and Mrs. Mabel Ware of Blueville; one brother, Evan Ware of Flemington; 38 grandchildren, and 41 great-grandchildren.

The viewing will be at the Dodd & Hurt Funeral Home, Webster Springs, and will be taken to the late residence at 3:00 p.m. Monday. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, 2:00 p.m., at the Hodam Creek Methodist Church, at Hacker Valley, with Rev. Rufus O'Quinn and Rev. Frank Mick officiating. Interment in the church cemetery. Dodd & Hurt Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.
